Job Description
Accountable to: National Sales Manager IND & T&I – Line management
Business Sector Manager T&I - Activity Supervisor
Responsibilities: Transport & Industry Sector Sales
New Business Development
Activities in line with Sector Strategies & Business Plan
Development of new products into sector
KAM account management for T&I Sector
Main Duties:
- Report activites to National Sales Manager & BSM on a monthly basis
- Develop existing and prospective new business
- Key projects to be reported by means of BPIC completion on a monthly basis
- Develop National & Regional relationships, networking.
- Actively develop & extend Mirka product range into customer base
- Liaise with Industrial team members to provide continuity of approach from a national sales team.
- Assist marketing
- Brochures
- Sector specific shows
- Sector specific advertisements
- Present, demonstrate and sell Mirka Abrasive sanding systems
- Attend and in some instances organise Exhibitions and trade shows
- Regularly visit and maintain and develop national account customers at regional level
- Take part in Mirka training programmes
- Complete Mirka administration requirements: BSC, Sales Cloud and MirkaNet
- Ensure Sales Cloud is maintained to Mirka standard
- Create and maintain Opportunities in Sales Cloud with potential in excess of £5K
- Ensure all conduct and tasks performed meet the required Mirka standard
- Achieve sales and project targets that will attract bonuses
- Carry out any other reasonable management request
- Have regular communication with Business Sector Manager UK

Essential requirements
- Live centrally within the geographical area to covered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills. - Ability to initiate and develop relationships with key decision makers.
- Ability to spot new business opportunities and quickly evaluate opportunities.
- Ability to analyse financial and operational data.

The role requires the employee to be physically capable of:
- Driving between 30-40,000 miles p.a.
- Staying away 2 to 3 nights per week on a national basis (dependent on geographical location)
- Lifting heavy items in and out of company vehicles
- Manning trade and exhibition stands for consecutive days
- Handling and demonstrating power tools, abrasives and polishes
- Walking around customer / end-user premises and sites
