At the manufacturing stage, there is no room for paint imperfections or defects. A careful eye notices every mark in the final surface, which means they have to be removed as conveniently as possible to reach a consistent finish.

Mirka has now introduced a simple, fast and reliable system for reaching that glossy surface finish: the Mirka PRO Finishing solution. It is aimed towards automotive manufacturers and the OEM tier, combining spot sanding and polishing with a high-quality result.

The PRO Finishing solution is a combination of Mirka’s know-how in power tools, abrasives and polishing compounds. Sanding the imperfections is done with our cordless spot repair sanders and Mirka Iridium® SR spot repair discs. The sanded area is then polished using Mirka cordless polishing machines and PRO polishing pads combined with the Pro Iridium™ 1250 polishing compound, the newest addition to Mirka’s polishing product line. The compound has been developed especially for the PRO Finishing solution.

Previously, removing surface defects at the post-paint stage has been a two-step process - one compound removes scratch marks created from sanding away the defect, and then another compound is required for final polishing. The Mirka PRO Iridium™ polishing compound solves that challenge: you only need to polish once.
