Looking for an easy process to sand epoxy river tables?
The end result is perfect for furniture of any size; coffee tables, side tables or even kitchen tables. By combining epoxy and wood, you can use all kinds of wooden material which would otherwise be wasted.
Mirka Galaxy
Every aspect of the Mirka Galaxy serves together to turn it into a real multi-purpose abrasive. It is suitable for sanding both soft and hard materials as well as various substrates, thanks to its excellent clogging resistance and dust repellence. By nature, the Mirka Galaxy is suitable for various applications.
How To: Finish a River Table
Sand the whole table
Use Galaxy 150mm multifit discs in grit 120 then 180.
We recommend using a Mirka DEROS II 5650CV.
Sand the resin
Use Galaxy 320, 600, 1000 then 1500.
Sand the resin
Use Abralon J3 (damp) grits 2000 followed by grit 3000.
Polish the resin
Use a Yellow Waffle Pad and Polarshine 10.
We have used one of our cordless sanders - the MIrka ARP-B 300NV.
Finish with coating
Finish the wood with your chosen coating such as oil.
