Pneumatic Sanders
Do I need an orbital or random orbital sander?
Random Orbit
Circular and lateral motion. Creates a better finish. Makes the sander smooth and easy to use.
Mirka Random orbital sanders include: Mirka® DEROS, Mirka® LEROS, Mirka® PROS (pneumatic), Mirka® ROS (pneumatic)
Orbital
Circular motion only. Less aggressive. Better for detail work and small areas.
Mirka orbial sanders include: Mirka® DEOS, Mirka® DEOS Delta and Mirka® OS (pneumatic).
What size orbit is best for my application?
Ideal for primer sanding or post paint sanding.
Universal orbit for general sanding applications.
Great for aggressive sanding such as paint stripping.
Mirka PROS
Professional Performance
The new Pneumatic Random Orbital Sander – MIRKA® PROS650CV is developed in-house by the Mirka’s industry leading design team. It is packed with clever features and attention to detail which has created an efficient and effective sanding tool that is perfect for professional operators.
The innovative features continue with a ‘brake seal’ designed to deliver a variety of valuable performance benefits. For example, in contrast to conventional pneumatic random orbital sanders, the brake seal on the MIRKA® PROS makes the backing pad oscillate rather than free spin when holding the machine in air. This eliminates the possibility of causing deep marks in the surface when the fast rotating abrasive first touches the job. In addition, as soon as the tool is removed from the work surface the brake seal immediately brakes the ‘rotation speed’ of the backing pad. The long-life brake seal also contributes to improved dust extraction efficiency by minimising internal suction leakage.
Mirka PROS
Ergonomics and design
Like all Mirka tools, MIRKA® PROS features optimised ergonomics that not only make it comfortable to grip and user-friendly for long operating periods – the design also incorporates an integrated cover which isolates the operator’s hand from the cold air inlet hose fitting. What’s more, it is constructed from high quality materials that deliver long term durability, ensuring you will enjoy the outstanding performance of your MIRKA® PROS long into the future.
To help operators achieve the very best performance, the backing pad features a central air inlet which results in improved air flow and helps extract dust away from the centre of the tool even faster.
Electric vs Pneumatic
Should I Move to Electric Power Tools?
In grinding, sanding and polishing work, pneumatic tools have proved their worth. But it can be worth it to consider moving to electric power tools.
