Compliance and Governance

Our company and way of working is based on our core values: Responsible, Committed, Innovative and Respectful. Rooted in our corporate values, our compliance and quality systems ensure that our products and operations meet industry regulations, environmental requirements, and customer expectations.

ISO-Certified Management Systems

All Mirka subsidiaries are certified according to the quality management system (ISO  9001) standard. Mirka Ltd (headquarter and production sites) has a certified integrated management system according to the following standards:

  • Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
  • Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
  • Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001)

The ISO-certified management systems provide a robust framework for environmental, quality, and safety performance. These internationally recognized standards ensure continuous improvement, legal compliance, and transparent accountability in achieving our sustainability goals.

Supply Chain Governance

Our commitment to sustainability goes far beyond our own operations and extends throughout our entire supply chain. By our supply chain governance, we aim to ensure that every link in the chain reflects our values and contributes to our sustainability commitments.

We believe in full supply chain visibility. By requiring transparency and accountability from our suppliers we want to ensure compliance and ethical practices, build trust and co-operation and drive continuous improvement. All our suppliers are asked to sign our Code of Conduct for Suppliers and commit to our high-quality standards. By conducting regular audits, we strive to hold both ourselves and our partners accountable for a responsible supply chain.

Commitment to Safety: REACH, SCIP and RoHS Compliance

EU's REACH regulation ensures chemicals are used safely, protecting both people and the environment. The EU SCIP database tracks substances of concern in products and materials. Companies selling products in the EU with certain high-concern substances above 0.1% must report them via the SCIP database.

Mirka’s SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) information letter provides details about these substances in our products and outlines the submission of product information to the SCIP database.

Restricted Materials

Mirka’s vision is to be the responsible market shaper that inspires renewal and leads with innovation, hence supporting the fundamental aim of restricting the use of hazardous substances in order to improve the protection of human health and the environment.

We are committed to responsible sourcing and compliance with conflict minerals regulations. Read our Conflict Minerals Declaration to learn about our due diligence and supply chain transparency.

The aim of Mirka´s Restricted Materials List (RML) is to ensure that chemical substances that may be hazardous to the environment, the health of users, or that may cause other concerns are avoided in Mirka´s products. Another objective is to achieve compliance with legislation, the Mirka Ltd company policy, and to facilitate a consistent approach to managing chemical substances.
