Mirka brings cordless convenience to file belt sanding. The new Mirka FBS-B battery file belt sander is designed for panel beating and body repairs, for cleaning up welding seams and spot welds in collision repair as well as vehicle manufacturing and restoration.
With a powerful and long-life brushless electric motor, the smooth, quiet, and lightweight Mirka FBS-B file belt sander excels in seam and spot weld sanding without needing a pneumatic compressor. It is accompanied by Mirka’s line of file belts and surface conditioning belts that provide a high removal rate and a good surface finish in grinding spot welds and removing paint. The Mirka FBS-B battery file belt sander is available in two models with different belt widths, the FBS-B 13 and FBS-B 10. With the 5,0Ah battery fitted, these sanders weigh under 1,2kg.
The cordless, balanced, and ergonomic design gives the operator complete freedom to reach difficult spots without restriction from cables or hoses, with a rubberised handle that is comfortable to hold. With the tension mechanism and open belt access, the belt is easy to change in a matter of seconds, and the belt position is quick to adjust.
User safety has been a priority in creating the Mirka FBS-B 13 and FBS-B 10. The file belt sander features a light to illuminate the work surface and improve sanding precision, and the handle includes a protective flap to shield the operator’s hand from sparks. As well as the convenient and safe stepless trigger button, the sanding speed is easily adjusted between 2200 rpm and 17000 rpm in seven steps with the handle-mounted buttons, familiar from other Mirka cordless tools. Thanks to Bluetooth® connectivity, the Mirka FBS-B file belt sander is paired with the myMirka® mobile app that helps operators monitor vibration levels and register their tools.
With an easily swapped battery, the Mirka FBS-B file belt sander minimises downtime and maximises productivity in manufacturing and repair work. The batteries share their design with other Mirka cordless tools, including cordless sanders and polishers as well as the Mirka ANGOS cordless grinder, and they are available in two sizes: 2.5Ah and 5.0Ah.
