Manufactured using patented Mirka technology, the antistatic Ultimax Black is the next word in longevity and sanding performance. It combines a new selective coating with a new silicon carbide grain on a strong backing paper to deliver consistent performance, high removal rate and long life.
The antistatic properties of the Mirka Ultimax Black keep both the belt and the sanded material cleaner, with the belt sander producing cleaner workpieces.
The Mirka Ultimax Black is available in wide and narrow belt form, in coarse grits ranging from 80 to 220 and in fine grits from 240 to 1000.
The recognizable surface cavities of the Mirka Ultimax Black have been created with selective coating, a hallmark of the new manufacturing technology. They perform several tasks at the same time:
A cooler, cleaner belt sands better with a more aggressive cut. The Mirka Ultimax Black stays sharper for longer and gives a consistent performance throughout its life, from start to finish, without clogging or burn marks.
The Mirka Ultimax Black is manufactured using thick 0.9-millimetre backing paper and strong A-joints. It is highly resistant to breaking, folding and twisting, delivering exceptional sanding quality for longer. The long life of the Mirka Ultimax Black results in less material waste and fewer stops to change the belt, saving time and money for the user.
The use of high quality stearate coating for the fine grits gives the Mirka Ultimax Black extra stability in sanding operations. Its consistent performance means there is no need to adjust machine pressure over time.
